White Wine by Robert Mondavi from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 85% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Semillon An elegant wine of both power and finesse that reflects the terroir of the famed To Kalon Vineyard. Fragrant and floral with delicate aromas of orange flowers, this Reserve Fume Blanc is multi-layered and complex. An array of fresh, focused flavors blossom in the mouth: white peach, toasty oak and orange rind ending in an exceptionally long finish. Rich and zesty, the wine is mouthfilling yet light on the palate.

White Wine by Comte Lafond from Loire, France - regions. Pale golden-green. Remarkable and aromatic intensity on the nose. Floral notes of white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia, eglantine, and elderflower. This is backed up by blackcurrant buds and wild flowers. It is lively on the palette, with very pleasant acidulous characteristics prolonged by light fruity notes. Full and refreshing, it is dominated by flinty stones and chalk typical of fine Sancerre wines. Food pairing: Shellfish, seafood and goat cheeses

White Wine by Rochioli from Russian River, California. This Sauvignon Blanc possesses the typical Rochioli character and the classic Russian River Valley charm. Fifty-eight percent is from their sixteen-year-old hillside vineyard and twenty-eight percent is from their newest planting of a very special and rare clone. Only twenty percent of this blend is barrel fermented which gives this wine its complexity and round texture. The rest is tank fermented to preserve its intense varietal character and firm acidity Color: Pale, creamy yellow. Aroma: Aromas of grapefruit with a touch of grass and flinty characteristics. Taste:An intense, complex and richly flavored wine. Green-gold. Racy, sharply focused aromas of lime, orange zest and talc, with a zesty, peppery accent. Medium-bodied and chewy, with concentrated orange and Meyer lemon flavors and a lush, round quality on the lengthy finish. These vines were planted in 1959, according to Rochioli, and that's why it always has real body and texture in addition to the usual freshness I like in sauvignon blanc. -International Wine Cellar

White Wine by Chalk Hill from Sonoma County, California. Blend: 88% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon Gris Chalk Hill's Sauvignon Blanc captures the personality of their land and harnesses the capricious nature of the grape. They tend eleven clones of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Semillon. Every cluster was inspected for defects. After being whole-cluster pressed, this wine was 100% barrel fermented; 20% of the total saw stainless steel barrels, while 80% was in French oak. Both rich and elegant, the lush floral aromas of honey suckle and kaffir lime combine with a vibrant band of gooseberries and tropical fruit. The wine is lengthy, persistent, and represents an evolutionary leap in winemaking.

Through careful vineyard selection and hand-crafted winemaking, this Sauvignon Blanc is Brancott's finest expression of Marlborough's most famous variety. The grapes were organically and biodynamically grown on Grgich Hills' cool American Canyon and Carneros vineyards, not far from the San Francisco Bay. In the glass, the wine offers a whiff of the tropics with kiwi, grapefruit, pineapple and a hint of minerality. On the tongue, this full-bodied wine has a crisp, refreshing texture and a long finish. This versatile, flavorful white wine is a great companion to a wide variety of food flavors and textures. In our recent tasting of older Sauvignon Blancs, no wine showed better with long-aging than the Grgich Hills 1983. These wines are always tight when young, and, at times, they make us wince at their bracing acidity. But, here is a wine that, while firm and only ready to drink for those who care for lean, brisk fruit as the first order of business, is so loaded with depth and promise that some of it should be put away for another day. White Wine by St. Supery from Napa Valley, California. Wonderful aromas of ruby grapefruit, lime juice and honeysuckle join with a vibrant core of grapefruit, hints of pineapple, nectarine and lemon grass. The texture is inviting and supple with enough racy acidity to keep it all focused.

White Wine by Pascal Jolivet from Loire, France - regions. Grape Type: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Vinification: Grapes come from 20 acres in 3 separate vineyards owned by Pascal Jolivet in the villages of Tracy, Les Girarmes, and St. Andelain; and additional sourcing from Les Loges. These constitute a large diversity of glacial soils, differing from village to village. Les Loges: very calcareous. Full, firm wines. Saint Andelain: clay-siliceous and siliceous. Provide fruit, bouquet. Tracy sur Loire: sandy and limestone base. Delicacy, aromatics. Vinification is very traditional slow fermentation (6-8 weeks) with natural yeasts and no malolactic. The wine is left on the lees for a minimum of 4-6 months. Bottled between May and September. Tasting Notes: Pale straw in color. Piquant, minerally, austere, and very clean nose. The palate is open, fresh, and direct, with ripe fruit flavor. Clean biting finish; very youthful; minerally flavors resurface. Food Match: sushi, shellfish, pork, fish, Asian cuisine.
